Jason the time you have spent talking with and teaching Jonah is priceless. He wants to learn about building and you are willing to take that extra step. One day, when he is much older im sure, he will look back and cherish the things and time you spent to teach him a thing or two.

I'm happy that JoNaH has that extensive collection of Makita battery power packs, to be helping the work crew, in building this barn! I like that small board that finished off the ends of those three 16 foot boards...it looks quite refined!

So this will be a BIG version of the (car?) porta-2 pig experiment/idea; plus the cows on deeper, deeper, deeper & deeper, corn sown, bedding (pigs will 'turn' it, looking for the corn. Maybe they won't have to buy in compost again ! That's permaculture.... stacking functions, i.e., multitasking strategy ;)

6X6 pole is a big honkin' piece of wood. Hahahaha

For me as I grew up, being the one to watch and learn beside someone that knows how was the best way to learn. Picking up tricks and tips from an older neighbor that taught me sewing to helping hand tools to my Dad as he worked on cars. My small hands could reach under the dash for all those older classic cars with bulbs that needed replacing. When I was a manager at a restaurant, watching and asking questions from the maintenance/repairmen on the equipment. Amazing how much more you really retain by watching. You are great at showing Jonah and he picks it up like a sponge. Penelope will be well rounded with knowledge from you and Loraine. 💞

This gives me ideas for my either 1.5 or 3 car barns/ garages. Just got done feeding my small critters- chickens, rabbits, ducks. My buildings are right smack dab in middle of my half acre. Floods on 1 side almost yearly & other 1/3 is driveway & 3 fruit trees

Nothing like a good workout! Just build a handicap ramp off of a house that was 13 ft off the ground ramp was 220 ft long required 43 6×6 up to 20 ft in length. And another 30 4x4s. Best part I'm 5'7 170 and and was over head pressing them bad boys!! As oberst would he is the American monster well I'm the mini American monster lol.

Thats great that you were able to go over and help Justin and his "Crew" finish up the guts of that building. That building is really going to benefit him in alot of what he's got going on. 👍😁

Wish I had room for a pole barn at our homestead, we’re on the side of the mountain and our trees are giant, so clearing/creating level areas is a challenge and expensive/backbreaking depending in how u do it!
